The unemployment benefit will be recognized for an initial period of six months, which will be extended for an additional six months, upon request, until reaching the maximum duration according to the type of subsidy recognized, provided that there have been no variations in the income requirements of both the Applicant as well as the rest of the members that make up the family unit, if applicable, that imply the loss of the requirements for access to the subsidy that was granted.

The request must be made within the period between the day following the date of exhaustion of the period of semi-annual entitlement and the fifteen days following the date of expiration of the period of payment of the last monthly payment accrued.
